Dear Family and Friends,
I wanted to write and tell you that our first monthly Reformed Fellowship was a smashing success!
I want to rejoice in God that is sovereign grace is being exalted in by His elect people!
This past Saturday (February 3rd) at Gabe and Natalie Colangelo's house in Moreno Valley, we had a great time as a packed house of people came out to rejoice in God and the doctrines of grace as Brother Joel Hughes came out and gave a very good message on the topic, "What is Calvinism?" Over the course of the next several months, we plan on having more meetings of the Reformed Fellowship and some other very special event s, including some more debates and a weekend conference on Christian Apologetics.
I recently invited Dr. Ron Gleason, the Senior Pastor and noted Reformed Scholar at Grace Presbyterian Church in Yorba Linda California (PCA) to come and speak at our next event and I be letting everyone know the date and times of the next meeting of the Reformed Fellowship of Southern California very soon. We were very excited to have Brother Joel Hughes come out and give a good word on the Reformed Faith,this past Saturday and believe he is an up and coming scholar/pastor to keep track of in the years to come as he seeks to establish a ministry in the Murrieta California area.
Please keep Brother Joel and his wife and daughter in your prayers as they move and settle into ministry out there. I would also like to ask for prayer as I plan to move to the Dallas/ Fort Worth Texas area to continue my seminary education and assist Brother Emilio Ramos in his ministry in Keller Texas.
A word to my friends here in California, I do not plan on forsaking you and will, by God's sovereign grace, attempt to make regular weekend visits back to Southern California from Texas to help continue to the Reformed Movement I am helping to grow here in SO CAL.
Good News and Bad News:
The 2007 National Ligonier Ministry Conference featuring RC Sproul, John MacArthur, John Piper, Al Mohler Jr and Ravi Zacharias is sold out!!! This is good news that many Evangelicals are hungry for God's glory and have a passion for knowing God's truth. The bad news is those who didn't get a ticket to the conference have to hear the messages via CD's or by video! (Rejoice with them and pray for a great conference).
